WELLNESS

What is a wellness Evaluation?

The wellness evaluation is a simple 4-step process that effectively assesses your body for hidden health problems that may negatively affect your health and quality of life well in advance. It is critical to monitor your body for health problems before they appear. Research shows us that disease can be present in your body for months, or even years before you are aware of it. Many health problems can be detected in advance and prevented with proper evaluations and a long-term wellness plan.

I ask many people, “how do you know you are healthy”? They often respond with “I feel fine” or “I don’t know”. In order to be healthy, we must be functioning properly. All of our body’s cells, (all 100 trillion of them) must be functioning at 100% for 100% health.

Our nervous system controls and co-ordinates how the cells in our body function. The brain handles over 3 TRILLION impulses per second. We are consciously aware of only 50! That means, for example that you have no conscious idea how your liver is doing from day to day. You visit your dentist regularly to have your teeth checked, so, why not get your spine checked as well? Make checking your nervous system a regular part of your health routine, just like checking your blood pressure, your cholesterol, or your teeth.  The most important step is a chiropractic exam which includes palpitating the vertebrae of your spine, checking your spinal ranges of motion, and looking at your posture which is the window to your nervous system.

The Wellness Evaluation Consists of:

  • Stress Screening: This progressive assessment screens an individual for the impact of physical trauma, emotional stress and chemical toxins in the body. An understanding of the effects of these stresses have on the body is essential in understanding and attaining wellness.

  • Motor Nerve Screening: A painless process that allows the doctor to visualize the existence of interference or disturbances in the part of the nervous system that controls your muscles. These abnormalities could lead to spinal problems, scoliosis, fatigue, headaches, and postural problems.
